“I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on Your laws.” Psalm 119:30

“I have chosen” indicates that the Psalmist chooses God’s way because God shows Himself to be trustworthy and gracious.

“Faithfulness” means “to be steady, faithful, true,” from which our term “Amen” comes. This is an attribute of God celebrated in many, many Psalms.

“I have set my heart on your laws” (or stated another way “I have chosen to live by Your every Word”) is in contrast to those who have chosen the way of the world, where there is no truthful word or standard to live by. By choosing the truthful path, the psalmist has had to cling steadfastly to the testimonies of God, just like we need to do today and every day.

God’s blessings on your day…
