“This is what the Lord says – your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” Isaiah 48:17

The Hebrew for “Redeemer” is also thought of as “arbiter” and “witness”. In light of the full biblical revelation, we know that Jesus Christ, True God and True Man, is the Redeemer of all mankind.

“The Holy One of Israel” is used 26 times in Isaiah, but only a few times elsewhere. Holiness includes all attributes of perfection that distinguishes God from all of His creation. Yet, He chose to enter a covenant relationship with Israel, His chosen servant for salvation. When Israel fell into sin time and time again, they had to fear God’s holy wrath.

The bottom line … the Lord teaches and leads through His servants, His prophets, and His Son (the last Prophet).

God’s blessings on your day…
