“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry…” James 1:19

This conclusion of the introduction to the Book of James is that enduring trials leads to a crown of life and yielding to temptation can lead to physical death. Since that is the case, the believer in the midst of a trial needs to be “quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry”.

The person who does not act righteously by controlling his tongue may consider himself righteous, but he is delusional; such behavior does not reflect the righteousness God has given.

God’s blessings on your day as you work to control your tongue always…
