“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,” Philippians 1:29

Believing in Christ is more than just knowing and liking what He did for you. Believing in Christ means devotion to His purpose, which will always include suffering at the hands of those who would oppose Him. And God enables such devotion.

We can actually think of suffering as a gift from God, for in the midst of suffering He comforts us and enables us to rejoice (1 Peter 4:12-13). God sees suffering as a tool to accomplish His purposes both in His Son and in His children. Suffering, moreover, matures us as Christians in the present and enables us to be glorified with Christ in the future.

Life in this world is just way different when one truly believes in and loves Jesus Christ. And aren’t we glad it is!

Blessings on your day…
