“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17

“Arm” in Israelite culture was an image of strength.

God would begin His answer to Jeremiah’s prayer by restating his words in the form of a rhetorical question later in verse 27, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” Nothing is impossible to God.

The closer one comes to the Lord, the more clearly one sees his own sinfulness and the more wonderful becomes God’s amazing grace. No one who is satisfied with his or her own state of holiness has yet come to know the Lord in His state of holiness! None dare face the Lord except by His grace.

God’s blessings on your day…
