“Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 97:10
The expression “hate evil” … to hate means to reject; to love means to choose. Since both are an expression of the will and not merely an emotion, the Bible commands both love and hatred.
They rejoice because He protects them from the wicked and preserves their lives for all eternity.
When people stand before God to be judged, only two responses are possible … terrified humiliation or joyful thanksgiving. Which will it be for us? The cross is where God’s justice is served, and His anger appeased on our behalf. The empty tomb is the assurance that we are preserved for life everlasting through our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. We rejoice because His judgment is that we are His saints through faith.
God’s blessings on your day…
