“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28
The context of this verse is justification by faith in Jesus Christ, the fact that Jesus has redeemed all those who believe in Him. Racial, social, and gender distinctions that so easily divide us in no way hinder a person from coming to Christ in order to receive salvation. All people equally become God’s heirs and recipients of His eternal promises through faith in Jesus. All who are baptized into Christ are one in His Body, even while distinctions present in creation remain. This is but another miracle of the Lord.
