“Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25
“Come to God through Him” means through faith and trust in Christ, we have access to all the Father’s gifts and promises. The Greek verb for “come” is in the present tense. Therefore, the word indicates that Jesus continues to save those who keep coming to Him. However, our justification (salvation) is a once-for-all event accomplished by Jesus on the Cross, but our sanctification (daily living, discipling) is a continuing, maturing process, as we respond to God’s love and grace in our lives.
“Lives to intercede” means Jesus presents our needs to the Father, praying on our behalf that we may receive the gift of life to the full.
God’s blessings on your day…
