“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8

“Right time” implies a perfect timing, known by God.

“Still powerless” comes from a Greek term that literally means someone afflicted with illness, one who is completely powerless.

People are reluctant to sacrifice for others. A few people might die for one who seemed particularly righteous or for one who had done them some good, but these are rare occurrences. Christ died, not for righteous people or for those who had helped Him, but for sinners. This is the very definition of grace.

God loves us just the way we are, but He loves us too much to leave us the way we are.

God’s blessings on your day…
