“In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Psalm 56:4
“In God I trust” are words of abiding confidence, even in times of distress. These words are also an Old Testament basis for the apostle Paul’s confidence expressed in Romans 8:31.
“What can mere mortals do to me” … God’s people should not fear other people – all they can harm is the physical self.
So, just like the Psalmist and Paul, I encourage you to praise His Word and trust in Him daily, so you too can live and work in complete confidence. “After all, what can mere mortals do to you?”
