“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
The Lord here places considerable emphasis on His unchangeable plan to bring peace and not evil to His people. There was a future and hope for the exiled people in the Old Testament. However, only after many years would the chastisement produce the desired change in their lives, when they would again turn to the Lord. He would keep His promise to bring them back to their homeland.
God does not change, and He is forever faithful to us. And aren’t we glad He is … being the sinners that we all are! Praise the Lord today and always!
God’s blessings on your day….
