“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” John 14:23
Christ promises that He and His Father will come to dwell in those who hear and believe His Word, and that He will send to them the Holy Spirit as the Helper. Those who neglect Christ’s Word isolate themselves from God. Jesus Christ reveals God’s grace in His Word, dispelling our fear and unbelief.
“Loves Me … obey my teaching” is Jesus response to Judas’s question in the previous verse. Jesus explains that His manifestation to the disciples would be in response to their love and obedience.
“Make Our home with them” … if a believer loves and obeys the Lord, he or she will experience fellowship with God.
