“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” Ephesians 4:15
“Speaking the truth in love” shows a concern for truth from the Bible and love for one another. It suggests that what all believers say or do should be honest and true, and said or done in a loving manner. Truths from the Bible and love for one another are not just alternatives, but belong together, and are something to strive for daily.
The word “grow” implies a working faith, which is a gift from God, created through His means of grace (Baptism, Holy Communion, Scripture). Through these means, God grows our faith, and matures and strengthens our trust in Jesus as our only Savior.
God’s blessings on your day…
